Thanks, Tiger.  It's good to be back, at least occassionally.  As they say, experience brings efficency.  When Tom and I first started acting as primary caregivers for mom, we had a learning curve to contend with.  Since then we've both become better and more efficient, meaning faster, so we have at least a little more free time than we did at first.  Trust me, it's nice to have even a little breathing space!

What does age have to do with beauty and sex appeal?  The fact is several of my freinds went crazy over your photo when they saw it and asked me to e-mail it to them.  You now grace the screens of at least six laptops (other than mine) that I know of, all owned by drooling college students.  Hope you're not angry about it.

Angry?  Of course not.  Flattered?  Beyond words!  To think of college men (no offence intended by the 'kid' in my earlier post) drooling over one of my photos is truly a great boost to my self-esteem.  Thank you for making a woman feel like a girl again!

Are you anywhere near London?  Tom and I spent a couple weeks there when he was still in aerospace and doing a job for British Airways at Heathrow Airport.  It was an easy job that left us plenty of free time for sightseeing, and the Underground lost money on the day passes we bought!  We saw all the usual sites such as Buckingham Palace (during the changing of the guard), the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Churchill's War Rooms on Downing Street and the British War Museum (Tom is a history buff!).  Since we're both great Sir Arthur Conan Doyle fans, we just had to visit the Sherlock Holmes museum on Baker Street.  I couldn't believe the special tiles they used for the walls of the Baker Street station depicting the great detective in silhouette!  We also took a tour boat down the Thames and spent a day Greenwich, including walking the decks of the Cutty Sark.  All in all, it was a great trip!

Sorry, I got off on a tangent.  Again, thank you for a very nice ego boost!

My family home is in London.  On behalf of my adopted city, I am glad you had fun.  We don't call it a dorm where I am in the UK either, but it's more or less the same thing.

No roommate though.  And a lovely space under the desk.  The girls I've had under there tell me it isn't very comfortable, but they love the view (and the snacks).  ;-)
