This has nothing to do with RPP directly but people may find it interesting. Don't assume you are anonymous!

It took some considerable trouble and expense to track this fellow down, but it was worth it to someone given that there was real defamation involved. I'm glad that justice was served. I do not defame or wrong anyone with my posts here, nor do I engage in or advocate anything illegal. If someone wanted to track me down, and was prepared to go to the necessary trouble, I assume they eventually could, but it would be fairly pointless, I think. I do not much worry about it. I am discreet, and to the extent that I break the law I do not do so online, as I have always assumed that e-mails and posts are more or less readily traceable.
I post elsewhere online, usually under may real name, but sometimes with as much anonymity as the net still affords. If someone wants to track me down on account of something I have written, here or elsewhere, they may end up wishing they hadn't found me.

A lot of the stuff I do on this forum is definitely or possibly illegal under UK law. I doubt tracking me down would be very difficult.
What the hell. I can always be a test case before the European Court of Human Rights. I hear that Strasbourg is lovely this time of year ...
