A philosophy question here.  Do you feel more like a dominant and more like she is a submissive when you are doing something to her, or when she is doing something to/for you?

To clothe it in more concrete terms, I know people who don't feel like cowgirl works for an m-dom fuck.  Personally, I feel like nothing says submission like her letting me lie back while she does all the work, using her pussy for my pleasure.  That's just one example of a more general question.

Depends on the situation, and my mood. 

It is, for example, hard to feel dominant when the sub is hurting herself . . . but on the other hand, there is rarely a better feeling than watching your sub on her hands and knees, worshiping your cock or washing your feet . . . with her tongue . . . while you sit back, relax and enjoy it.

I guess the best answer would be, when you're doing TO her (him, whatever), she needs to be passively accepting.  When the sub is doing FOR you, then of course active participation is required.  In general neither is going to "make me feel" more or less dominant.

I would say that the extent to which is a slave/submissive is dependent on her state of mind. A woman in inescapable bondage, being raped and tortured, may be a submissive slave, enduring this as a form of service, or she may be an unwilling victim, kidnapped, and fighting physically and psychologically to the utmost of her ability. And perhaps, with time and ruthless will, the unwilling victim may become a willing submissive and slave, as her will and her resistance are gradually broken down.

I would say that what makes me feel most dominant is bringing her to a new level of submission. It's about the journey as much as the destination. She is a work of art in progress. And progress can either be made when she is actively serving, or when things are done to her.
