A woman has come forward claiming Steven Seagal used her as a sex slave.  I'm not surprised, I'm sure that many famous people do.  I know that rappers have girls on call for when they're taking breaks from making movie videos.  Lifestyles of the rich and famous eh?

Strangely enough it's mainly the "he-man" characters we hear about. So is it for real or just some louse way to to hopefully make big money and last but not least the 5 minutes of fame??

I tend to take sensational claims with a couple of boxes of Morton's, especially when linked to claims for large sums of money. That having been said, I never had much use for Seagal He was always, to me, the least interesting of the actio stars. Way too into himself. I could see myself having drinks with Chuck Norris. The guy couldn't act, but you really didn't care. he didn't try too hard to act like a tough guy because, let's face it, he really was a tough guy in real life. He used to beat ass and win fights in the ring, and never had anything to prove. Even VanDamme had more going for him. (Legionnaire rocked, And if you haven't seen his movie JCVD do so, and find out what an amazingly good actor he really is.) As for drinking with Seagal...you get the feeling that he'd be a mean drunk, and probably try to stick you with the tab.

And, if the claims are true, he's gone down in my estimation even further.  If you're gonna keep sex slaves, what about training?  Torture?  Conditioning?  Captivity?

It's funny . . . martial artist actors can generally be split into three groups:  those who can't fight, those who can't act, and those who are just assholes personally. 

Chuck Norris, for example, is a hell of a nice guy and an accomplished martial artist, but he can't act his way out of a wet paper deathtrap.  Billy Blanks was the same.  An incredible fighter and a hell of a nice guy, but a terrible actor.  Seagal, on the other hand, is another very effective fighter (his style is similar to the one I studied for ten years), and he can act . . . he's no Alec Guinness, but he can act . . . but from what I've heard from people who knew him in the martial arts, he's an incredible dick in person.

Van Damme, however, is the exception that proves the rule.  Not only can't he act, but from what I've seen and heard he, too, is an arrogant asshole in person . . . and he's not even a martial artist, much less a fighter.  He's a gymnast who learned a few moves without spending the training time necessary to learn CONTROL, and he's crippled people on the sets of his movies because of it. 

In fact Seagal, who hates his guts, decided to do some research into Van Damme's claim to be a "European kickboxing champion."  Van Damme claims to have trained in the Netherlands, right?  Seems Seagal's investigators couldn't find a single sensei willing to admit to having trained this supposed kickboxing champ, which I personally find very suspicious.  Local boy does good, becomes a kickboxing champion and then an international movie star, and NOBODY wants to admit having trained him?

Van Damme defeated Michael Heming to win the middleweight division of the 1980 European Karate Championship (according to Heming's Wikipedia page).

I've never read anything positive about him as a human, although most critics seem to like his movie "JCVD".

Never really much liked martial arts movies. Something about one guy taking on eight guys and winning easily that just seems to fantasy based for me. Granted I like fantasy when it is touted as fantasy (star wars, shrek..etc), but these movies leave the impression that martial arts can make one into some invincible death machine, who can pulverize multiple opponents, grab guns out of peoples hands and still have enough sauve left to get laid.

Nonetheless, let me chime in;

Van Dam: Drives me fucking nuts. I hated his  movies in the 80's and couldn't understand why he was such a hit. I just about died laughing when I heard the dumn shit, rather stupidly tried to take on chick zito (actual real tough guy)

Firstly, ragarding martial artists, I miss Bruce Lee and love Jet Li.  No idea if the latter is any good (I have no training or expertise) but I enjoy his movies.

There is a nice Thai brothel gangbang in the original Emmanuelle, but only if you can find the uncut version (which I am told is still not as easy as it sounds).

Haven't seen Ong Bak yet.  Should I bother?
