I take the judge's point that punishing the mother too harshly could deter other children from coming forward.

But, even as a lifelong opponent of the death penalty, that story still makes me want the man and woman both to be publicly stoned to death, on general principles.

Actually stoning seems to me very appropriate for this bitch.

However, I would like to see public floggings brought back.  I wonder what kind of qualifications you'd need to get that kind of job?  I think it's a career I'd enjoy thoroughly.
