12 inch long wood handle painted metallic blue with a three dimensional pattern. 24 leather string lashes 18 inches long and 2 mm in diameter attached to the handle by a chrome plated swivel and split ring. The lashes can be quickly and easily removed and replaced with a different type of lash.

That's a pretty toy. Will those slender tails cut? (under normal action, not hitting as hard as one can, snapping the tips, multiple hits in same spot, etc. )

I use Fiebing leather conditioner on all the leather lashes Doc and it tends to soften them a bit. The leather string flogger will leave welts with normal use but the individual lashes are a little too light to cut. I'm sure you - or I - could put some wrist into it and make them cut if that was desired. My sub doesn't like to bleed, so I've never tried to break the skin with it.

Personally I'm considering soaking the tails of my Cat in brine, then letting them dry, to stiffen them.  But then I'm a cruel bastard ...

Completely understand the cruelty part but I like my leather to last and here in Florida our humidity is kind of hard on leather items that aren't treated on a regular basis. I have several floggers with rawhide lashes that stay stiff and hard even when treated with Fiebing's.

If you want to be really cruel - try a flogger with nylon lashes - and use it wet. Lemon juice or vinegar adds a nice sting and the nylon won't rot. If you are in a truly nasty frame of mind, try some hot sauce on the nylon. Goggles might be a good idea though. Wouldn't want lemon juice or hot sauce in your eyes!

We have something quite similar to your Dragon’s Tongue.

It was classified as a "Dragon Tail".  And it holds true to its name.  Not only does it raise some nasty/lovely welts, it easily cuts into skin.

I can safely say it was my favorite whip UNTIL I got more personal with it.  I fell in love with the look and smell of it.  Is there a better smell than leather?  !!  I now can safely state it is my least favorite!

I will have to take a pic and upload it.  We also have another cane of sorts that I want replicated.  Ahh yes, I will perfect it.  Another I will upload for ya!
