Who to put in a Harem?

  Thinking about doing a harem short story.  The setting will be Cairo during World War Two. More fetish and humiliation than the usual rather vanilla thing in the classic examples of such stories.   Management will, not surprisingly, be Egpytian; the labor force will be European women.  I am curious about who interests you most among this list of possible inmates?

 1.  Lady Sarah Fraser-  long aurburn hair, 30's, socialite, and wife of colonial official.  She has a very stiff
                                      upper lip and adheres to the " No sex please, We're British" philosophy.

 2. Anna-                        Blonde shoulder length hair,a  refugee stranded in Cairo without
                                      money or friends, though with large breasts, depending on the kindness of
                                      strangers. 

 3. Second Officer Diana Savage -  Wren officer ( Navy ) , tall,  brunette, mid 20's, athletic,  assertive,very
                                                       high opinion of herself.   ( My favorite, of course.)

 4.  Section Officer Leslie MacDonald -  Junior officer in Women's Auxiliary Air Force, 21, short red hair, petite
                                                             and shy.  Rather innocent.

 5. Other  -                     Who?   Explain?  ( Must be available locally.)

#4 - Leslie sounds like just what I would want in my harem.

Why - for starters her red hair. I love red hair. Then you said petite - with her red hair that makes her almost perfect in my book. The innocent part is also appealing...

Would be number four for me.  The young, petite and innocent appeal to me.
Another which I would like would be perhaps the teen daughter of someone high up in the military.

  Interesting!   I would not have thought she would be the favorite.  She's the easiest target of the four.  Where's the challenage?  Where's your competitive spirit?

   OK, looks like I need to write a bigger part for poor Leslie.  But  I'm telling you now; I don't do Scottish accents.

Aww - you didn't mention the accent in Leslie's original description or it would have been a complete walkaway.

Actually I enjoy a good challenge and #1 would have been my most likely choice - if not for Leslie's red hair.

'Harem' - isn't this where a man has multiple women used as sex partners/slaves.

Petite with red hair would usually win me over, but it is trumped by the love of a fiesty spirit to break.  I'll take a No 3, please.

I agree with Violet about a teenage daughter of an important man.  Especially if she is utterly spoiled and snotty.  Great fun.

  I'm happy to see that a few more have swung my way, so to speak,  and chosen Second Officer Savage. ( Odd ranks they had back then.)

   Whether a fan of  Savage or MacDonald, your input was very helpful in developing the story.  I have got about half done with Sarah and Anna as the old timers,  Savage and a new girl , Jane Aldiss, as  girls half through  training, and Leslie as the new recruit. Hope to have it up in a week or two.  The mother and duaghter is an interesitng idea but will have to wait for another day.  Couldn't do them justice  in an already crowded short story.

Convic. I would be intrested in reading more about this story line. I am curious about the timeline though. Rommel's Panzer Corps are about to get their asses whupped at El Alamein. So then what? The Egyptians and Arabs of course change sides instantly. It would be interesting to see our "heroines" faced with the spector of STILL being harem slaves despite the Allies win....

The above is repeating text that I sent to you in a personal email. Then I ran across this thread. I would strongly urge you to continue this story line. As I stated above, imagine the consternation of the ladies when they find out it doesn't matter that the Allies win! They still lose. The Prince, because of his power and money would most likely continue to be just that: The Prince. The military wouldn't dare to invade his home because of political repercussions (and new alliances being forged). Of course the Prince, hating English, will continue to cause problems.  Finally, I concur that a nubile teenage daughter of a military high-up getting caught in the Prince's snare would be very interesting. Perhaps "lost" in a desert sandstorm?

The story is set at the beginning of the first battle of El Alamein because it was a low point for the British.  The eighth army did stop Rommel from reaching Egypt in that battle, but did not defeat him until the second battle of El Alamein about 3 months later.   I just used the battle - and the general feeling  that the British were about to lose Egypt- to let the Prince daydream a little about displaying his pony girl Wrens in pubic.   Like you said, whether Rommel won or lost, the girls were going to stay where they were.  It's just that he would like for others to see what and who he has collected. 

  I have set the story up with a loose story line whose sole purpose was to tie loosely  together as many of my favorite depraved acts as I could think of. Instead of taking one girl through all the phases of a career in the harem, I have the newbie, the Wrens in training, and old timers represented all at once in five different women.  I hope to continue the story in the same manner covering a later time.  Maybe mother and daughter of colonial official, maybe someone else, as the newbie while the current inhabitants move up a slot or are "retired". 

I just wish the site would get the story title and description posted correctly.
