That's no excuse. I live in Florida and I still managed to stop off in Portland and visit will Emma and Alebeard. I thought seriously about kidnapping her and bringing her back with me but they had just moved into a new house and Alebeard had a lot of work for her.

Eggert, it does sound like fun, doesn't it?  There are so many cool people on here I've had such a lot of fun with (first one to mock me gets one of my unbearably cheesy grins).  It would be great to meet everybody. 

I'm willing to admit I'm always gonna be kind of sorry that that RPP Picnic we all used to joke about is never gonna happen.  Plenty of resons why it can't, but shit it would be a good time!

What fun that would be!  Love the idea.  Should have a meet every few years in different places - tour the local scenery (not exactly the normal tourist scenery mind you, the nice things that our depraved minds would like..) and see how it differs from home.  Plus if you could afford the fine, maybe a picture of a 'rpp picnic' in front of something famous for your area (like the Angel of the North for me, Big Ben for London etc.)
And all the doms could come up with different punishments for the subs, change the pace a bit for the subs, keep them on their toes (or you know, in whatever awkward position you choose).
