Quite possible. But I wanted to be sure. No sense hammering someone if they don't know they are being hammered. By the same token, why give a compliment when it isn't recognized? Arael has already established that I am an asshole, but I want her to understand that I am a nice asshole!

I'm not a fan.  But I don't really hate them.  I just don't like them.

I think Alan Garner and Dianna Wynne Jones and whoever it was wrote The Dark Is Rising do the same thing only better.  And did it first, in some cases.  I think she's unoriginal and that she writes uninteresting prose.  That being said, she is quite a good storyteller.

Basically, as an older fantasy freak I'm just loyal to other camps ...
