Congrats for finally guessing the right location.

Central Florida has lots of scrub pine (conifers) and due to our afternoon summer thunderstorms, the air often has a lot of haze just before the rain starts. The distance to the launch pad - a hair over 13 miles - and the haze, make identifying the launch tower hard. By the way - Shuttle Atlantis is on the launch pad in that picture, but the angle and the haze make it VERY hard to distinguish. Atlantis had just been rolled out to the pad when the picture was taken.

If the girl had been on the embankment behind where she was standing in the water, she would have been tresspassing on the Space Center property. The canal is the boundary.

I haven't been to Florida much, but I've always had a good time when I have visited.

Course, I was pretty small.  It is a state with many fine amusement parks.  :-)

Let's see, I could have said - "I knew it all along", "I was just getting ready to guess Florida.", "It was obviously photoshopped.",  when in fact none of those are true and I wasn't anywhere near guessing the location. In fact I had decided what turned out to be the launch pad was a cloud. Guess my second career as a photo-analyst is not going to take off.

That was fun despite my failure to deduce correctly. Thanks.

Very true Quix - and the biggist bunch are 55 miles from my house. Close enough to be an easy drive - far enough away that I don't have to contend with the crowds, traffic, noise, and crime!

It's very strange.  I see things the same as other people (I assume anyway).  It's just that when you look at something you know what colour it is.  Sometimes I do, and sometimes I have to guess.  :-)
