For myself, I'm more into humiliation and modification lately than causing pain.  I think we can drop the humiliation thing for somebody we're keeping in the basement, though; I don't believe it's really possible to humiliate somebody who's forced to do whatever you want, at least not as much as it's possible to do with somebody who has a choice.

This reminds me of something that my aunt ran across while doing research into the family history. (She and my mother were quite fond of this, back in the days.) Apparently she ran across an old newspaper clipping from the early 20th Century. I cannot recall if the fellow named in the story was an ancestor of mine. According to the story, the fellow had just come home from a stay in a "lunatic asylum", and was, "almost completely cured".


So I suppose my answer should be that I am almost completely normal, just a bit - eccentric.

*snorts*  All that woman's tangible proof of, is a good genetic mix.  And possibly a good diet - and - exercise regimen.
