Oh, and Quixote.  I'm 22 now, and I still get to swing a broadsword and slay some orcs every weekend.

Well, technically I DM the games, so _I_ dont specifically, but you get the idea.

RPGs are good for the soul :D

I'm mulling over a story involving the rape of an elf maiden... Going to have to get going on that, soon.

I vote for it.

Like 99% of fantasy themes sex stories blow.

And like a fraction of those that don't are rape related.

I'm sure they exist, but I've yet to find a good one.

I used to be heavily into RPGs back when I still had hobbies.  It's a long story.

I myself have done the RPG thang. Call of Cthulu was an old favorite. I ran that one a lot back in the days.  Lost all my sanity points somewhere.

As I have no doubt you noticed in a prior poll...

It was always a favorite of mine, as well.

I used to run around Mage: The Ascension being silly.

My main game in the new version of mage, named Mage: the Awakening.

Much the same, but with an honestly cooler backstory, a easier ruleset to work with, and paradoxes that actually mean something (unlike ascension, where you can basically ignore them)

I hate new versions.

Warhammer stopped making sense.  My M:TG cards stopped being tournament legal.  AD&D stopped letting me minmax.

*grrrrr*

HEY

HEY

HEY

HEY

HEY!

The new Warhammer 40k Rules are baller!

And DnD is still, and probably always will be, minmaxable to hell and back.

And M:tg... well, I was a pro mtg player and I've stopped playing, largely due to exactly your complaint.  So I can't say much there.

I haven't tried the new version of Mage. I tried running the original at the request of some friends who were really interested in it. No one liked it, really. The rules were conceptually too complicated, the backstory was sort of lame, and John is  right about the paradox. I never tried the new one, though if John says it's an improvement then he's doubtless correct. I took to running Witchcraft, and that worked better for Magic in the modern world. But COC was the best.

Kult was kind of weird and twisted, but I never did all that much with it.

Btw, I'm changing my vote to angel, as long as I get to rape this one.

Nice pic John.

I also used to do a lot of RPG stuff, still have most of my really old school gaming... equipment, most of it from the 80's. Stopped for lack of players and GMS that didn't piss me off, mainly.

I wonder if there's a connection between "non-vanilla" sexuality/lifestyle and RPGs?

In my opinion, I wouldn't say there's much of a connection, but the loner/outcast mentality usually leads to forming friendships with like people.  such RPGs are often a way that happens.

And the angel is Amy Lee.  Mmmmmmmmmmm tasty
