For a man that likes Japanese rope work, Eggert, I'm surprised you think duct tape is... time consuming!

I can immobilize a woman in about 15 seconds with my stun gun and two zip ties. It's not as pretty as your rope work but she isn't going anywhere!

Duct tape is great for quick gags, and immobilization of wrists and ankles (not as quick immobilization as plastic ties but more fun to remove). Thinking more about it the best use of duct tape might very well be being sure it touches skin and hair so the removal can be anticipated and enjoyed.

To me rope is for when I have time to savor my work. Also, rope allows for adjustment to add to tension/pain easily plus the aesthetics of  good rope work is outstanding. Nothing like enjoying a job well done.

I'd have to agree with Spray, using duct tape to remove her pubic hair would be fun.

Would agree with this as well though - rope is far more aesthetically pleasing than duct tape.  If no rope were available, then I would use duct tape to immobilise her.  Then again, sometimes a couple of pair of handcuffs (not the fluffy kind!) can do the trick as well.

I appreciate the aesthetics of good rope work Doc. I spent over 20 years in the Navy watching bosun's (Boatswain's Mates) do decorative knot work. I was even an Eagle Scout myself ever so many years ago. If I had a permanent partner, I might be inclined to try a little rope work once in a while. But since my partners are temps from the group I belong to, zip ties work just fine.

Pubic hair removal, definitely.

I like the look of ropework, but it isn't really my thing.  I like leather and metal.

I have a good explanation for this, but the truth might just be that I'm lazy ...

Quix - I like metal too - have leg irons - handcuffs (several sets) and thumb cuffs - but for some reason, I end up using flex cuffs (large zip ties or cable ties) more than half the time.

I suppose laziness may have something to do with it. Or it might be that I won a great gross of them as a door prize last year at a munch and generally have a pack (12 ties) or two in my car. Plus, it's so easy to roll a couple up and stick them in my pocket.

That may be true Eggert - I won't argue. Never the less, tell me that again in 15 or so years. I'm about 18 years older than you and those 15 or 16 years may change your mind a bit - or maybe not...

Best use of duct tape is for pubic hair. For bondage, I prefer leather or steel. (I love the look of steel on flesh.) I appreciate good rope work, but when I use rope it's  not anything elaborate. Just get them into four point bondage by the most expedient available means, and the serious pain can begin.

For gags, I prefer a bit gag.
