Good work, John.  In situations like that (edgeplay), the sub/bottom pretty much only has to say 'go ahead' - the dom/top has to actually work out the logistics and make sure nothing goes wrong.

I'll be "vote for a hint" #2, then.  With nothing to fixate on, the mind spins aimlessly- given an idea to latch onto, the fear can build around it.  "I'm going to bury you alive" is an abstraction, "Don't worry, I'll leave you one hand free to use the trowel" is a point to fixate on.  What will I need the trowel for?  Will one hand be enough?  Am I digging myself out?  What is my other hand going to be secured to?  Will I be alone in the box?  The more creative the hint, the more likely the mind will fixate.

One note on air tubes and such- care should be exercised to ensure that the tube is not too long or big around, as the capacity to draw fresh air in through the tube is directly related to the volume of air the tube can contain and the volume of the victims lungs.  If the tube is too long/large, the victim will simply be re-breathing their own air.

When he digs me up, will I be able to recognize it, or will I still be down there in my mind for hours afterwards?  I'm sure I'll be covered in dirt, grime, and my own tears and snot.  Probably in sweat, too, from the lack of airflow.  How long will it take me to come back to myself?  Will I ever?
