After a discussion with my wife I was just wondering when is a woman considered a whore.  Was also wondering from the ladies in the forum how many men they have had sex with?

My definition can only be my definition.  It's not a word with a hard and fast meaning.  It's not even a word with a comparative meaning.  There are people to whom having any sex before marriage makes you a slut.  There are people who don't think of themselves as sluts who have slept with a thousand people.  Who am I to argue with either?  All I can say is what I think.

I never kept a tally of my sexual encounters.. well, not for long anyway...  I am amending this post after reading some of the other responses that made more sense and resonated with me. Being a slut can be a badge worn with glee and pride or it can also be a mark of stupidity and recklessness.  I think I agree that, with me, its not so being a slut as it is being hedonistic and uncorraled in my willingness to say 'yes' to my self and life.

Tricky one.  I don't think it has anything to do with numbers though.  I think it's about attitude.  Someone can have slept with say 10 people and not be considered a slut if they were all serious relationships.  But if someone sleeps with one or two people when they're drunk, one night stands etc, then they can be considered a slut.  So really don't think it has anything to do with numbers.
